Why Your Carpet Cleaning Agreement Should Be in Writing
A screenshot of an advertisement is not the same as a written agreement for your job. After you book, a simple text or email can make the service, scope and agreed price clear to both sides.

What the Confirmation Should Say
Keep it simple: the item or rooms being cleaned, the cleaning service agreed upon and the price. For example: “1 room — Shampoo Cleaning — $100.”
Why “Starting At” Is Not Enough
A starting price may be accurate for a particular scope, but it does not tell you what your own job will cost. Ask for the expected price based on the description you gave the company.
Your Description Matters Too
Written confirmation works when the job was described accurately. Tell the company the number of rooms or seats, approximate sizes, material if known, stains, pet issues and anything else that may affect the service.
If Something Is Different at the Appointment
If the actual scope is materially different, the company should stop and discuss it. The written agreement is a record of what both sides understood when the appointment was booked—not permission to hide a larger job.
Dr Carpet Pricing Principle
We would rather discuss the real job before booking than advertise a number that may not fit it. Call, describe the work and get the pricing for the job you actually need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is an advertisement enough proof of my price?
An advertisement shows a promotion, not necessarily the scope of your specific job. A booking confirmation is clearer.
What should I send when asking for a quote?
Photos, approximate sizes, number of items or rooms and details about stains or odors can help make the quote more accurate.
Does written confirmation mean the price can never change?
It documents the job as described. If the actual scope is materially different, any change should be explained and approved before work begins.
