Different rugs need different methods. We review the rug’s fiber, construction, dye stability and condition before recommending Basic cleaning, shampoo or specialty washing. Full washing, rinsing, stain treatment and restoration are not automatically included in the Basic pickup offer; when needed, we explain and quote those services separately before work.

Improper drying can damage rugs and leave musty odors. After the selected cleaning process, the rug is dried and checked before return. Drying requirements depend on the rug and method used. Pickup and return delivery are included in eligible off-site cleaning quotes — the complete rug cleaning pickup and delivery service, handled end to end.

Dr Carpet specializes in both. Persian, Oriental, wool, silk, handmade and other area rugs are a core service, with pickup and return delivery available for rugs that need controlled off-site care.
How do I get a quote?
Send photos of your carpet, rug or furniture by text to 718-500-5243, on WhatsApp, or through our online quote form. We quote according to the item's size, material and condition.
How much does rug pickup and cleaning cost?
Basic rug pickup, cleaning and return currently starts at $2 per square foot with an $89 minimum per rug, through January 31, 2027. Shampoo is $6 and Deep Shampoo is $8 per square foot, with a $140 off-site minimum for those levels. There is no separate pickup, delivery or distance fee. Final method and price are confirmed after assessment, before work begins.
How does rug pickup and delivery work?
Send a photo of your rug and your ZIP code and we schedule a pickup time. Our team wraps and carries the rug out, recommends the cleaning level based on its fiber, construction and condition, and returns it after cleaning, drying and inspection.
How long does carpet take to dry after cleaning?
Most rooms dry within 2-6 hours, though humidity, airflow and carpet thickness can affect drying time.
How quickly can you schedule service?
Same-day or next-day appointments may be available depending on your location and service.
What are your hours? Are you open on Saturday?
We are open Sunday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We are closed on Saturdays.
