Is offsite rug cleaning better than cleaning in my home?
For wool, silk or hand-knotted rugs it usually is: a controlled facility wash rinses out more than an in-home surface clean. We pick up in Alpine, clean at $4 to $8 per square foot ($140 minimum) and deliver back, with no separate pickup or delivery charge.
Do you fix fringe or worn edges on rugs?
Repair and restoration are available, but we quote them only after the rug is cleaned and inspected in person — a photo isn't enough to price the work. You approve any repair before it starts, and cleaning-only is always an option.
Will a deep clean get an old stain out completely?
Not always. As a rule of thumb from experience, Basic makes a modest dent in a stubborn stain, Shampoo does more, and Deep Shampoo the most — but set-in stains may only partly lift, so we give an honest read before we start rather than promising a perfect result.
My carpet has a bleach spot — can cleaning restore it?
No — bleach strips the dye out of the fiber, so it's lost color rather than dirt, and cleaning can't put color back. It's a color-repair situation, which we'd need to look at in person to advise on.
Are you open on Saturdays?
No. Dr Carpet is closed on Saturdays and does not dispatch — including for emergencies. Our hours are Sunday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
