Dr Carpet
Carpet, Rug & Upholstery Cleaning in Garden City
Garden City's established colonials and family homes — carpet, area rugs and upholstery, cleaned honestly and priced simply.
Garden City's well-kept colonials and center-hall homes usually pair wall-to-wall carpet and stairs with living-room and dining-room area rugs, plus sofas and dining chairs that see steady family use.
Where homes are kept up with regular maintenance, Basic or Shampoo cleaning is often all that's needed — and we'll say so rather than pushing a Deep clean you don't need.
Well-Maintained Homes, Sensible Cleaning
For carpet and rugs that are vacuumed and cleaned on a regular cycle, Basic steam cleaning frequently does the job; we reserve Shampoo and Deep Shampoo for odor, heavier soil or difficult stains. Dining chairs are priced per chair and sofas by seating position, so upholstery quotes stay straightforward.
Larger or more delicate area rugs can be taken in through pickup and delivery for a full wash, with no separate pickup or delivery fee.
Cleaning Services We Offer in Garden City
Garden City FAQ
Do you offer rug pickup and delivery in Garden City?
Yes. For Garden City we can arrange pickup, clean the rug at a professional rug-cleaning facility with the Basic, Shampoo or Deep treatment its condition calls for, and deliver it back. In-shop rug cleaning starts at $4 per square foot with a $140 minimum, and there is no separate pickup, delivery or distance fee.
Do you fix fringe or worn edges on rugs?
Repair and restoration are available, but we quote them only after the rug is cleaned and inspected in person — a photo isn't enough to price the work. You approve any repair before it starts, and cleaning-only is always an option.
Will a deep clean get an old stain out completely?
Not always. As a rule of thumb from experience, Basic makes a modest dent in a stubborn stain, Shampoo does more, and Deep Shampoo the most — but set-in stains may only partly lift, so we give an honest read before we start rather than promising a perfect result.
Can you fix a bleach or color-loss spot?
Usually not with ordinary cleaning — bleach removes the dye, so it's color loss rather than a stain. That's a color-repair question we can assess in person, rather than something a standard clean will bring back.
Do you help with insurance on water-damage jobs?
We document the damage, moisture readings and drying progress with photos and video so you have records for a claim. Insurance may cover some water-damage situations — confirm coverage with your insurer, since we can't decide a claim for them.
